Conrad update

Conrad, now 20, is a freshman at Florida GulfCoast University. He is enjoying his college experience. He has had a girlfriend, Laura, from some time now. They met awhile back when Conrad was attending McCallie. Laura is a freshman at Tampa University.

October/November 2010

Happy Halloween!!!

Jake was Super Mario, in case you couldn't tell. Wade was Wil from the Rangers Apprentice book series that he is reading.

We had a great time with Hunter when he was here in October for a visit. We went to the Stockyards and of course, watched football.

Hunter- 17 years old (senior)

Wade and Jake at Petarnelis Falls near Fredericksburg, Texas. We went to the Hill Country over the Thanksgiving break.

We've been in Texas almost 3 weeks. Dad and Pat were instrumental in transforming our new house. We love it!!!

Wade and Jake are settled in and making new friends.

Weekend trip with Aunt Sherri, Bailey and Maddie

We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets and a few of us, were up to watch the sunrise.

We went to Little Gasparilla Island with Sherri, Bailey and Maddie to celebrate our 40th and 45th birthdays. Wow!!! Sounds so old when I write it. Sorry those of you that are a little more mature then that. We had a great time. We saw a ton of tarpon. The kids swam with a Manatee and went night fishing.

Lakehouse

We had a great time at the lake house again. Jake's favorite part was, "bipping on the pube"....

Wade is starting to do a little jumping on the wake board now. Getting even better.

This was one of the most beautiful sunsets we have ever had.

Jake was very patient while Wade wakeboarded. Often resorted to napping wherever he felt comfortable.

Jake loved the horse races at High Hampton. He was horse number two. After his number was rolled, he looked at the child next to him and said, "I'm going to beat you". He's not competitive at all.

High Hampton Inn

We went to HIgh Hampton Inn with my friend Karen and her kids . It was a blast. We hiked, swam, kayaked, played Bingo, did tennis clinics, golfed, and made new new friends.

Hunter and Brittany in New York city. They just happened to be there at the same time that Jerry and Hunter were there on their father/son trip. Coincidental?????

End of School Party

Wade and Jake finished school in early June. They are ready for a long summer, not sure if Mom is.

Rockband

Jake has become quite the Rock Band player. Rock Band Beatles is his favorite. Specifically, "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds". He gets his love of rock music from his brother, Conrad. Move over The Jonas Brothers (not really rock).

The Knee Scooter

Yes, I am riding on a knee scooter. I referred to my new companion in an earlier blog. Well, now you can see it first hand. It doesn't look as bad as I made it sound in this picture. I had my cast removed today so I'm a little happier then I was this morning. I actually showered, dressed and put on makeup. Wade was so helpful in taking these pics. I only deleted the first few that he took. And, no I am not pregnant. It's the shirt, or the laying around I've been doing for 10 days. Ugh!!!! You know what they say about turning 40.....

Hunter

Hunter had an amazing Lacrosse season. He will be playing with the traveling Lacrosse team this summer. They are called the Swamp Hogs.

I am on day 6 of laying around the house after foot surgery. Foot surgery is a stretch, but sounds so much more sophisticated then BUNYON surgery. You'd think I'm an eighty year old grandmother. Theres's something to be said for laying around with your thoughts. I think I've replayed every experience I've had over the past 5 years and some several times. I've watched more movies then I've seen in my entire life. I guess I could have picked up one of the 6 books on my night stand still waiting to be read, but until a few days ago, I was in a fog, or something like that.

The kids have been great helping out. Although, I think the most fun has been riding around on my knee scooter. Yes, you heard me right, a knee scooter. Now I really sound 80. Yes, it's called a round about. Let the wise cracks begin............

Well, time for me to move around. My foot is tingling. I started this blog to share pictures and experiences of our family with our friends and family, but I guess that will have to wait until day 7 of laying around.
